Beiaard is built to run entirely offline, in the playing cabin of an imaginary belfry. This page explains, in full, what the app does and does not do with information on your device.
Beiaard does not collect any data. It has no account system, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs and makes no network requests of any kind. Everything the app remembers about you is stored only on your own device, inside the app's private storage, and is never transmitted anywhere.
What the app stores on your device
The following information stays entirely local, in the app's own sandboxed storage, and is used only to run the game and remember your progress between sessions:

None of this is backed up to any server we operate, shared with anyone, or used for advertising or tracking of any kind. If you delete the app, this information is deleted with it. You can also erase it at any time from Settings → Reset Progress.
Permissions the app may ask for
- Camera. Used only if you choose to photograph a real carillon tower for your "Heard in the square" logbook entry. The photo is saved to your device only; Beiaard never uploads it anywhere.
- Photo library. Used only if you choose an existing photo for a logbook entry (through Apple's standard picker, which does not give the app access to your full library) or if you save a shareable recital card back to your photos.
- Notifications. Used only if you turn on the optional daily reminder in Settings. The reminder is scheduled entirely on your device; no push service or server is involved.
Each permission is requested only at the moment you use the feature that needs it, and the app functions normally if you decline.
Data collection, tracking and third parties
Beiaard does not use any third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services. It contains no software development kits that transmit data off the device, and it does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. There is nothing to opt out of, because nothing is collected.
Children's privacy
Beiaard does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information from anyone at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future update adds an optional online feature — the change will be described here and reflected in the app's in-app privacy page (Settings → Privacy) before it takes effect.
